Trek to high Altitude lake
Bhrigu Lake Trek promises the opportunity of trekking to a high-altitude glacial lake amidst the towering snow-capped mountains and breathtaking sunsets. Trekking in winter to high-altitude regions requires multiple days before reaching the stunning transience of the lake. Trekking in Himachal Pradesh offers panoramic views of the colossal Himalayan ranges. Bhrigu lake trekking takes place in the heart of the Kullu Valley. At an elevation of 14000 feet, the trail passes through blooming alpine meadows, woody paths in the dense foliage, and jaw-dropping sights of the pristine lake. Surrounded by imposing mountains on all sides, the lake changes colors throughout the day, thereby offering a different reflection every time one glances into its depths. As per legend, the lake is associated with the myth of a great sage meditating at this lake. Known as the humble abode of Bhrigu Maharishi, the lake’s tranquil waters evoke a sense of calm amidst its presence. The Bhrigu lake lies approximately 6km from the scenic Gulaba. One of India’s most popular winter treks, the Bhrigu lake trek offers splendid views of the quaint Himalayan villages, colorful flora and fauna, and welcoming warm people who are a balm in the blistering cold weather. The pleasure of Bhrigu trekking is unparalleled as the lush green meadows soothe your senses, and the rolling mountain slopes provide the right amount of challenge to reach the pristine Bhrigu lake.
