Trek to high Altitude lake

Bhrigu Lake is located at an elevation of 14,100 feet in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh. The Lake is named after one of the seven great sages- The Saptarishi. The dynamic views around the lake and the colorful villages en route are sure to leave a lasting impression on your minds. The people here offer a very quaint living but are warm at heart and very generous. The picturesque village of Gulaba is a common point to many other treks as well. The trails pass through untouched forests and the exquisite panorama of Manali and Solang. This place presents great views of Solang valley, Manali and the seven sister’s peaks. The campsite here is surrounded by mountains all around, shielding the place from blustery winds.
The alpine blossoms amidst the green pasturelands are some of the sights that behold the travelers here. When you finally reach the destination, the Lake surrounded by snow peaks, you get to actually experience the 360 degree view of the mountains while you enjoy the serenity of the lake and the winds.
Then comes descend to Vashishth which will ease out your lungs but will surely make your feet do the talking. The place is known for its hot water springs and is adobe to temple shrines of Lord Rama and Vashisth Maharishi.

Drive from Manali to Gulaba and start trek to Gulaba Meadows(8500ft)
The trek begins in Manali with a drive to Gulaba village, about 22 kms from Manali. We trek through a dense woody trail. Further, after a steady and steep climb of 20 minutes through rivulets, the team reaches the vast, green meadows. It would be a short hike of 4 kms and would take us around 2 hours to reach campsite. The views of the upper kullu valley from here are quite spectacular. Evening at leisure to soak in the atmosphere. Overnight stay in tents.
Gulaba meadows to Rola kholi(12500ft)
We trek from Gulaba camp to Rola Kholi passing through the Kolang nallah. First 1.5 hours is steep ascent and then gradual ascent till campsite. The trail passes through virgin forests with views of Manali & Solang. This place presents great views of Solang valley, Manali and the seven sisters peaks. The campsite here is surrounded by mountains all around, shielding the place from blustery winds. Overnight stay in tents.
Rola kholi to Pandu Ropa(11800ft) via Bhrigu Lake(14000ft)
The trek to Bhrigu lake from Rola Kholi is a steep ascent. The sight of this magnificent lake even from a distance is captivating. The lake remains frozen for the most part of the year baring summer months. The crystals of water glistering through the golden rays of the sun offer colourful hues during different time of the day. Alpine blossoms amidst the grassy green pastures are a sight to behold. After a stop at the Bhrigu lake, the trek makes a steady descent to Pandu Ropa. The trek is through green rice fields and beautiful meadows. We shall camp out at Pandu Ropa followed by dinner.
Pandu Ropa to Vashisth(6800ft)
Today, we trek to Vashishth from Pandu Ropa, which is one amidst awesome view. Today’s trek is all the way downhill where your lungs will be at ease but feet will do the extra work. The downhill sections are quite steep & slippery at places. The trail is well defined. On the way you will see hiker who are doing this trek from the other side. Last section of the trek is through villages & apple orchards. Hike will end in Vashisth which is famous for a hot sulphur water spring. Vashisth is a place engulfed with hot water springs. The temple shrines of Lord Rama and Vashisth Maharishi are popular here. Bhrigu Lake trek ends here.
