Stok Kangri Trek
Trekking in Himalayas makes people wonder about the snowy mountains, blue skies and endless stretches of mountains. En route trekking in India, there are many mountain peaks which have gained popularity not only in India but also internationally in the recent times for their scenic beauty and thrilling adventures. One such trek is the Stok Kangri trek. The Stok Kangri peak belongs to the Stok ranges in the beautiful place of Leh- Ladakh in India. The Region of Leh Ladakh is situated at the height of 3500- 3800 meters above sea level.
The Stok Kangri peak offers beautiful panoramas of the Karakoram and Zanskar ranges. The mountains gives a kick of adrenaline as you feel the summit nearing and are about to witness the beauty of the K2 peak, the second highest peak in the world. The Stok kangri trek is not that technical for the amateur mountaineers as it has straight-forward ascend, easy angled ridges and a short section of climbing. The place offers a perfect summit dome covered in the prayer flags and the beautiful view of the surrounding peaks and valleys.
For those who wish superb climbing holidays, trekking in Ladakh is the best option on budget. The stok kangri trek is for someone seeking their first Himalayan summit. The peak stands tall at the height of 6000meters above the sea. Reading this, the reasons for taking up the stok kangri trek are plenty.
To reach our climbing objective we trek from Shang Sumdo on a little-used high-level trail, crossing several passes to reach Stok Kangri Basecamp. The base camp offers unique and scenic route crossing two large passes which allows us to see more of Ladakh and increases acclimatization improving our chances of a successful summit attempt. This expedition can be done in 4 days if you are already well acclimatized to the altitude. Good physical condition and proper acclimatization are very important for a successful summit attempt.
Thank us for the enchanting views and the exhilarating experience of the Stok Kangri expedition as you near the crown of the Stok range. It would be a once in a life-time deal for your peace of mind and the love for adventure as you descend through the peak and bid a deu to cherish the moments until your next trek with us.
